Glorfindel chortles. "I would probably be in more trouble than you!"
He sobers as well. "No, my friend. Do not underestimate yourself. We found you, sure enough, but you were the one who survived that long, and did not Fade."
The smile he leveled at Loren was genuine, but wan. "I should have, long before you found me." Darren shook his head and switched subjects back to what had plagued his friend. "Is it just the paperwork you're having trouble with? I could take a look."
"You are far stronger than you think, old friend."
He brightens at that. "Would you? I could use an extra set of eyes, I confess - I have been staring at them for so long now that I no longer know what language I am supposed to be writing in!"
"Eh, time's hard to measure without Moon and Sun, let's assume we're about the same age and run with that."
He rifles through the larder and fridge to find the things they need.
"I'll make lobster pasta then, that way we'll have leftover, and if anyone drops by there'll be extra. Unless Alex comes by, in which case I might need to make more!"
Darren leaned a hip against the counter, arms folding across his chest as he watched Loren work. He didn't mind keeping his friend company. He smirked. "Well, we'll just have to see if he drops by to eat all our food!"

He nods, relaxing. "We will. As we always do. Thank you my friend. You always know how to cheer me up."

Darren smiled gently, moving a foot to nudge Loren. "You do the same for the rest of us."

Date: 2016-11-15 09:39 am (UTC)"Although I might not survive the meeting, as I suspect the two of you would hit it off very well."
He grins and nudges back. "Only because I have people like you to help."

A chuckle. "We're here because of you." Then sobering a little. "I know I am."

He snorts in amusement. "At least we know that whatever else has gone on, he's still got a good appetite. I suppose we have Ron to thank for that."
