Daeron grins, eyes bright with interest. What would this Noldo decide to ask, should he allow it? Maybe he should find out...
Later.
His sister would dance to this tune, he knows as he listens, eyes half closing and turning his full attention to the nuances. A moment, then two, of quiet, falls after Maglor's hymn then Daeron picks his harp up and echos the song, but with his own edits. Additions. Twists to both play and pay homage to the lady of the stars.
Delight thrums through him and he listens eagerly to this new melody, then laughs as he takes up the melody. This time, however, he changes it. Changes it, to be for Yavanna, and Vana. The trees shiver around them, branches swaying in appreciation and adding their own voices.
Maglor shivers with delight as the trees respond, once again picking up the melody Daeron gave him and modulating it, but lower, deeper, more rooted and yet wild - Aule, and Orome.
The deeper melody thrums through his core and he almost purrs with delight, eyes flashing silver like the mythril the Dwarrow are so fond of.
Daeron's voice rumbles deeper in answer, reaching further into the wilds of wood than he believes Maglor to have ever travelled. Deeper into the earth, darker. But always with the silver-star light to guide the way. Perhaps of the very eyes that remain transfixed on Maglor.
Maglor gasps, hands falling still on his harp - this is darkness he doesn't know, and fear flares for a moment, a memory of a Dark that was suffocating.
But that Dark had no light at all, and here, still, there are the stars, as he calms.
Daeron blinks, then shakes his head and continues, drawing Maglor back to the light. Gentle light with warm breezes and the cheerful laughter of children. There's a hint of apology and he frowns, clearly troubled.
He wraps the sense of 'Do not fear' around Maglor.
Maglor relaxes, leaning against the reassurance, and his hands return to
his harp, shyly twining thanks around the silver comfort. Those memories he
prefers not to revisit, for they are full of pain and fear and madness.
He gentles the music, continuing to ease the memories of pain from his companion. No need to fear when Maglor is with a half-Maia. Daeron hums along with the music at his fingertips, bolstering the defense around the full elf's mind. Only when he's satisfied does he let the tune trail off.

Daeron grabs for a hand to drag him further into the trees, steps light and quick. Purposely breaking eye-contact...for now.

He plays an idle tune for a moment and then shifts into one of the hyms of Valinor - a song in praise of Varda. One he wrote himself, of course.
